1. Why Sugar Realm?
In my most recent architecture adventure, I had the honor of collaborating with the best designers of the prominent firm where I worked. This elite design team was assembled to design the firm's most high profile project. Designers from all the disciplines were summoned.

The challenge was to design, in collaboration with others, an enormous component of a renowned theme park to be built in a remote and exiting "in" location. Design wise, the project was divided into five Realms or Kingdoms.
This experience was, simply put, a creativity boot camp. A life-changing experience. I was amazed to see such incredible design ideas, coming from all different backgrounds.

It is my goal now to continue my creative journey exploring a new Realm that I have discovered almost by accident and that fulfils me immensely, a Sugar Realm.

2. Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
All my cakes are unique custom designs specially taylored for you, and are exclusive to your celebration.

3. I don't see any prices. How much does your cakes cost?
It is impossible for me to offer a hard-and-fast price list, since each cake incorporates so many variables. I take into account the number of servings, the complexity of diverse design elements and particulars important to you.

Often times a “petite” cake takes longer to create than a larger one, and therefore it will be priced higher per slice (the basis for pricing used by most bakeries).

I always try to present several possible variations, and propose a few price options from which to select for my Gourmet Fondant.

Please email me to inquire about pricing of your next order.

4. What is the minimum number of servings for a tiered cake?
The smallest tiered cake requires a minimum of 50 servings.

5. How many servings are in a mini cake or cakelet?
My average mini cake serves 1.5. Therefore, they are prized as one and a half servings.

6. Do you ship your cakes?
The short answer to this question is No. I feel honored beyond words every time someone asks if I can ship a cake to a remote location. I have had requests to have cakes shipped to Miami, Austria, and Dubai!!!

Standard carriers cannot guarantee the safe transport of my cakes.
Overnight long distance delivery is extremely costly and complicated. Additionally, most of my designs require skilled on-site assembly.

Having said that; what I can ship are sugar decorations to be placed in a locally sourced cake.
All you have to do is to get in touch whith me if this is an option that you would like to explore, and we will work from there!

7. On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
My cakes are baked from scratch and never frozen. New cakes are baked each week per your order to guarantee a fresh and delicious cake for you & your guests.

8. Do you require a "Hold the date" deposit to book your services?
Yes. A small non-refundable fee is required to hold the date of your event. This deposit is aplied to your balance payment.

9. How far in advance do I need to book your services?
I have a small and dedicated boutique operation. My calendar fills quickly. Most couples' book my wedding cake services 6 months to a year before their event. For my specialty cakes, I highly encourage customers to book my services at least 2 weeks in advance.
I am flexible and will accommodate last minute orders pending on my availability.

10. How many wedding cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
I only do one wedding per weekend. On your wedding day, you can count on my undivided attention to detail in regards to your cake's design, flavor, freshness and presentation.

11. Is there a fee associated to Wedding Cake Consultations?
No. All Wedding Cake Consultations are complimentary.

12. Is there a fee associated to Wedding Cake Tastings?
Tastings are complimentary to my booked wedding cakes. A small fee is required for  tastings prior to the reservation of my services.

13. Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Absolutely.
I will be the liaison between you and your florist. I provide your florist with an estimate of flowers needed for the cake. Typically, the florist will leave some of your flowers at the reception hall so that I can decorate your cake with flowers that match those used in your celebration.

14. Do you rent cake pedestals?
I want my cake to be the centerpiece of your reception. You are more than welcomed to rent my cake pedestals to showcase your edible work of art.
I do require a deposit that will be returned once the cake stand is returned to me in reusable conditions. All stands must be returned on the Tuesday following your wedding weekend. Late fees are applied to items returned after this date.

15. Do you provide on-site delivery and setup?
Yes. I provide delivery and set-up for most cakes with 100 or more servings and/or for cakes that require on-site assembly.
A delivery and set-up fee is applied to all orders.

I appreciate and embrace all cultures and religions.
